Tasked to re-design the classic christmas cracker. I created a nike airmax 1 that cracks when pulled from the tounge and heel revealing a Gift card inside.
Research
Looking through hundreds of different traditional crackers I found none had a brand name behind them. With this thought I looked at many popular luxury brands and thought the Nike brand would translate best in this brief.
Concept
Using the Nike Brand, I designed and created an Airmax 1 Gift Card Packaging that cracks like a cracker. To be given at the christmas table or at a bithday party.
Development
I discovered that one of the most “boring” and “least exciting” gift to open is a gift card. People said that there is no experience when opening up a gift card.
With markertibility and form in mind, I went with the Nike shoe.
USABILITY
Grabbing the tabs on the toe and the heel, one will pull it apart cracking the cracker and finding the gift card inside.
